JJ was waiting for an answer from NASCAR about getting a short track license for the Truck series. NASCAR told him that he needed heavy car narrow tire experience and that they were not going to give him a truck license. As far as NASCAR is concerned the only approval that they would give him is K & N series short tracks only. The slowest cars on the slowest tracks. Or he could go to ARCA and get some experience. We understand NASCAR’s reasoning for not wanting inexperienced drivers on their tracks. We just don’t understand why 150 MPH sideways, 6 inches from the wall at Eldora Speedway is not considered enough car control. It is what it is and now JJ is working on sponsorship for some ARCA races.

 

JJ has hired a marketing agent to help secure the funds needed for 3 ARCA races. They are trying to find around $100,000. The Level 1 team has also secured an agent to try and work it from their angle also. JJ already has an established team that will help him once funds are acquired. It is hard to find money for racing in today’s economy but he is trying. On JJ’s Facebook page he asked for his followers ideas for sponsors. A lot of good ideas were given and he tried to contact a lot of them. So far only one has shown interest as long as it was a Midwest track. JJ is working on doing Toledo, Indianapolis and Iowa speedway. We will let you know when we know more.
